Kaua’i Horseback Lessons for Children & Adults

Dating back to 1978, Princeville Ranch has offered Kaua’i horseback riding on this historic working cattle ranch.  Throughout the years, natural horsemanship has been the pillar of our philosophy and we are proud to offer lessons to both children and adults in the heart of the ranch.

We follow a holistic approach to both teaching and riding, giving equal attention to rider education and horse health for an optimal experience.  Students learn from the ground up starting with grooming, tacking, ground work, and spatial awareness. We offer both English and Western style riding and our facility includes 2 riding arenas and a large round pen.

Eileen Donohue heads up our lesson program. She is a veterinary technician, a certified riding instructor, and a retired pre-school teacher that has a magical way with teaching both children and adults.  She has worked with many masters of natural horsemanship and strives to create a respectful and cooperative relationship between horse and rider.  Lessons will be conducted by Eileen or a trained assistant instructor.
